Dead Battery
Jump Start Service in Memphis, TN
A click and no crank does not need a tow. It needs a boost and an honest answer about whether the battery will do it again tomorrow.

Mobile Battery Boost Across the Memphis Metro
Dead batteries are the single most common roadside call in Memphis, and they cluster, the first genuinely cold morning of the year produces a surge of them across the city, because cold reduces a battery’s available current at exactly the moment the engine is hardest to turn over.
We come to the vehicle wherever it is: a downtown parking garage, an office lot on Poplar, an apartment complex in Cordova, a driveway in Bartlett, or the shoulder where it stalled. Professional jump packs mean no second car needs to be manoeuvred nose-to-nose with yours, which matters in a tight garage bay.

The Test That Saves You a Second Call
Jumping a car is easy. Knowing whether it will start again is the part that matters. If the alternator is not charging, the engine is running on whatever the jump put into the battery, and it will stop again, often a few miles down the road, in worse traffic, after dark.
So our technicians check the charging output before packing up. If the system is holding, you are told to drive for a decent stretch rather than shutting off immediately, and that the battery is likely nearing the end of its life if it is more than three or four years old. If the system is not holding, we tell you straight away that a tow to a shop is the cheaper decision, and we can do that there and then.

Frequently asked questions
Can a jump start damage my car's electronics?
Done properly, no. Damage comes from reversed polarity or from the voltage spikes that happen when clamps are connected and disconnected carelessly on a modern vehicle. Professional jump packs with protected leads are designed to avoid exactly that.
How long should I drive after a jump start?
Twenty to thirty minutes of actual driving, ideally not all at idle in traffic. Alternators charge poorly at idle. A few minutes in the driveway will not put back what starting the car took out.
My battery keeps dying overnight. Why?
Either the battery no longer holds charge, common past three or four years in Memphis summers, since heat kills batteries faster than cold does, or something is drawing current while the car is off, such as a boot light, an aftermarket alarm or a dash camera wired to a permanent live feed. That is a parasitic drain and needs a shop to trace.
Do you sell and fit batteries on site?
Ask when you call, availability depends on the vehicle. Where we cannot fit one on the spot, a jump plus a short tow to a parts shop or garage solves it in one trip.
Can you jump start a hybrid or electric vehicle?
Hybrids and EVs have a conventional 12-volt battery that runs the electronics, and when it dies the car will not wake up even though the main pack is full. Those can usually be boosted, but the connection points are specific to the model, tell us what you drive.
