Local, Not a Call Centre
About Memphis Towing Now
A Memphis towing company that quotes before it dispatches and tells you when you do not need a tow.
Calling is fastest. A live dispatcher answers at any hour, nights, weekends and holidays.

Answered by a person
A live dispatcher, 24 hours a day, not an answering service.
Price before we roll
The full figure on the phone, not a surprise on arrival.
The right truck
Flatbed for AWD, EVs and lowered cars, because that is the only correct way.
What We Do, and How We Do It
Memphis Towing Now is a towing and roadside assistance company serving Memphis, Shelby County, and the neighbouring counties across both state lines. We run light-duty trucks and flatbeds for cars, SUVs and pickups, and heavy-duty wrecker equipment for the commercial vehicles that a freight city like this one puts on the road in large numbers.
The towing industry has an obvious and well-earned reputation problem. Advertised prices that are not real prices, bills that arrive larger than the quote, trucks that turn up at accident scenes nobody called, and storage fees that accumulate on a lot you did not choose. We built this business around not doing those things, which is a low bar and yet a surprisingly uncommon one.
How we work
Three Things We Commit To
The quote is the price
You get the complete figure before a truck is dispatched, base, mileage and any surcharges together. If the job turns out to be different from what was described, the driver tells you the revised number before starting work, never afterwards.
A person answers
At any hour. Overnight and weekends are when most towing calls actually happen, so those hours are staffed with a live dispatcher rather than handed to an answering service.
We tell you when you do not need us
If a jump start, a tyre change or two gallons of fuel will get you moving, that is what we will tell you, even though a tow is the larger invoice. A customer who was dealt with straight is worth more than one extra tow.

The Equipment, and Why It Matters
Sending the wrong truck is the most common way a towing job goes wrong, and it is entirely avoidable. A wheel-lift leaves two wheels turning on the road, which is fine for a great many vehicles and genuinely damaging for others, all-wheel drive, electric vehicles, lowered cars, and anything with wheel or steering damage all need a flatbed with all four wheels off the ground.
A loaded tractor-trailer on a soft shoulder needs a heavy wrecker, not a light-duty truck that will spend an hour failing to move it. A car on level four of a downtown garage needs something that fits under the clearance bar.
That is why our dispatcher asks what you drive and exactly where it is sitting. It is not an interrogation. It is how the right truck arrives the first time.
Where We Work
Our coverage follows the way the Memphis metro actually works rather than where the political boundaries fall. That means all of Memphis and Shelby County, downtown, Midtown, East Memphis, Cordova, Germantown, Bartlett, Collierville, Millington and the areas between, plus DeSoto County, Mississippi including Southaven, and Crittenden County, Arkansas including West Memphis.
Crossing the state line is routine. A vehicle collected in Southaven can be delivered to a Memphis dealership, and a car picked up in Memphis can go to an address in Arkansas. We also run scheduled long-distance transport out of Memphis in every direction, the interstate geography here makes Nashville, Little Rock, St. Louis and Jackson all straightforward direct runs.
On the job

What actually goes into a towing bill
Nearly every towing invoice in Memphis is assembled from the same five parts. Knowing them is what stops a cheap headline turning into an expensive morning.
| What you pay for | How it works | What changes it |
|---|---|---|
| Base / hook-up fee | Covers dispatch, loading and securing the vehicle. | Broadly the same whether you travel two miles or twenty. |
| Mileage | Charged per mile from the pickup point to the destination. | The biggest single lever. A closer shop is a cheaper tow. |
| Winching | Applies when the vehicle is not on a hard, accessible surface. | Ditches, soft shoulders, embankments and mud. |
| After-hours | Overnight, weekend and holiday callouts cost more to staff. | Avoidable if the vehicle is somewhere safe until morning. |
| Storage | Only applies when a vehicle sits on a lot rather than going somewhere. | Zero if you name a shop or an address before we load. |
Every one of these is quoted to you on the phone, before a truck is dispatched. If a company gives you one low number and will not break it down, the missing parts are where the money is.

Frequently asked questions
Are you a local Memphis company or a national dispatch service?
Local. When you call you are speaking to someone who knows the difference between Poplar at Ridgeway and Poplar Pike in Germantown, and who knows which stretch of I-240 you mean. National dispatch platforms subcontract your call to whoever bids on it, which is why the arrival estimate and the actual arrival so often differ.
What areas do you serve?
Memphis and Shelby County, DeSoto County in Mississippi, and Crittenden County in Arkansas, plus scheduled long-distance transport beyond the metro.
What kinds of vehicles can you tow?
Cars, SUVs, pickups, motorcycles, vans and light commercial vehicles on light-duty and flatbed equipment; semis, trailers, box trucks, buses and RVs on heavy-duty wreckers.
Do you handle accident recovery?
Yes, once law enforcement has cleared the scene and released the vehicle. You choose the destination. Your body shop, your home, or a facility your insurer names.
